the perimeter of a rectangle is 48cm. if the length is 16 cm, find the measure of the width in centimeters

The width is 8 cm. There are 2 lengths, one on each side, so there's 32 cm. 48-32=16. There are 2 widths, so 16/2= 8 for width.
