Solution:

Radius = Diameter ÷ 2 = 12 ÷ 2 = 6 feet

Area = πr²

→ Area = 3.14 × 6 × 6

→ Area = 3.14 × 36

→ Area = 113.04 feet²

Therefore area of the circle ≈ 113 feet²
