If a quantity is increased by 60% the result must be 160% of that quantity.

Then, if the quantity is 15 litters, then:

[tex]160\text{\% of }15=\frac{160}{100}\cdot15=\frac{8}{5}\cdot15=24\text{ litters}[/tex]

The result is 24 litters
