As the given figure can be considered as two rectangles,

Consider the first rectangle,

The length is, 9-2 = 7 cm,

The width is, 10-6 = 4 cm.

Therefore, the perimeter is,

[tex]P=2(l+w)=2(7+4)=22\text{ cm}[/tex]

For the second rectangle,

[tex]P=2(l+w)=2(10+2)=24\text{ cm}[/tex]

Therefore, the total perimeter is,

22 cm + 24 cm = 46 cm.
