Find:

we have to find the value of (f - g)(4).

Explanation:

we will find the value of (f - g)(4) as following

[tex]\begin{gathered} (f-g)(x)=f(x)-g(x)=4x-3-(x^3+2x)=2x-x^3-3 \\ (f-g)(4)=2(4)-(4)^3-3=8-64-3=-59 \\ (f-g)(4)=-59 \end{gathered}[/tex]

Therefore, the value of (f - g)(4) = -59
