Avogadro's number is 6.02 x 1023 atoms. So, 6.02 x 1023 atoms of sodium would have a mass of 23 g (sodium's relative atomic mass).

conversions to use:

1 mol= 6.02 x 10²³ atoms

we need the molar mass of Na which can be found in the periodic table--> 23.0 g/mol

[tex]23 g Na \frac{1 mol}{23.0 g} x \frac{6.02 x 10^{23} atoms}{1 mol} = 6.02 x 10^{23} atoms [/tex]
