Reason: The line x = 5 is a vertical line through 5 on the x axis. All points on this vertical line have x coordinate 5. Two such points are (5,0) and (5,1).

The line perpendicular to this vertical line will be horizontal.

All horizontal lines are of the form y = k for some value k. In this case we replace k with 12 to arrive at the answer y = 12. Two points on this horizontal line are (0,12) and (7,12).
