It took Ray 0.45 hour to rake the leaves and 3/4 hour to mow the lawn. How many minutes did it take him to do both tasks?

Multiply the percentage by an hour (60 minutes): .45•60=27
Convert 3/4 to a percentage so you can multiply: 3/4=.75: .75•60=45
Add: 27+45=72
72 minutes :)
