The eurasian plate travels the slowest, at about 0.7 cm/y. How long would it take the plate to travel 3 cm?

Simply divide 3 by 0.7,

[tex]3 \div 0.7 = \frac{30}{7} = 4 \frac{2}{7} [/tex]

Or ≈ 4.28571 which is ≈ 4 years.
